- You are beautiful.
I am beautiful. No whatever what others may say, do, or think. I must not and will not allow their looks, insults and demeanor to bring me down. Although my complexion may resemble dirt to them, in Christ I am a beautiful creature. I am loved, I am intelligent and I am understood. I am beautifully and wonderfully made. Its not based on how I look, what I say, what I have, what I do or what I can offer. But because I am part of him. I was made in his image, which makes me apart of his divine family. He tells me, before you came out of your mother's womb I loved you. I gave my life for you. He says, love me as I have loved you. Give me your all. Trust me. You can depend on me. I will never leave you nor forsake you. For I love you with an undying love.
- Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
- Refrain:
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
- “Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
- Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
- Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.- Refrain:
